Since opening in 2015, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport has become a landmark shopping destination in Richmond, BC, known for bringing world-class retail to the community. As they approached their 10-year milestone, they sought to celebrate their history, honor key relationships, and share their story with both local audiences and international stakeholders.
The Creative Brief
McArthurGlen wanted more than an anniversary video, they needed a piece that would capture the essence of a decade’s worth of growth, community connection, and brand impact. The content needed to resonate with a diverse audience: retail partners, VIP guests, corporate stakeholders, and the public, all while feeling authentic and celebratory.
Filmosity collaborated closely with McArthurGlen’s marketing team during pre-production to design a seamless filming day for executives and VIP guests. We focused on creating a comfortable, welcoming environment for interviewees, ensuring natural and engaging on-camera moments. The production featured voices from McArthurGlen leadership, retail partners, and community members, including Chief Wayne Sparrow of the Musqueam Indian Band and YVR leadership. The narrative blended professional milestones with heartfelt community perspectives, creating a well-rounded tribute.
Results
The final deliverables included:
- 1 long-form video (4:27) premiered at the 10-Year Anniversary event, viewed by VIPs and key shareholders.
- 4 short-form social media videos optimized for McArthurGlen’s online platforms.
The campaign generated strong engagement across McArthurGlen’s corporate LinkedIn, sparking positive responses from partners, community leaders, and customers. More importantly, it strengthened the brand’s narrative as a valued community contributor and retail leader.
